  • 4 airline chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. In a small bowl, combine the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper.

  3. Rub the chicken breasts with olive oil and then sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over both sides.

  4. Heat an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts, skin-side down, and sear for 3-4 minutes until the skin is golden brown and crispy.

  5. Flip the chicken breasts and transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

  6. Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
