How To Make Watercress & Chicken Stir-Fry

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 bunch of watercress, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

  2. Add the sliced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil and garlic. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

  4. Add the sliced red bell pepper and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.

  5. Add the chopped watercress and cook for another 2-3 minutes until wilted.

  6. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and mix well with the vegetables.

  7. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Pour the sauce over the chicken and vegetables.

  8. Stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until everything is well-coated and heated through.

  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
