Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 1/4 cup tamari sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together tamari sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and cornstarch until well combined.

  3. Place the chicken thighs in a baking dish and pour the sauce mixture over them, making sure to coat each thigh evenly.

  4. Bake the chicken thighs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

  5. While the chicken is baking, baste the thighs with the sauce every 5 minutes.

  6. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven and allow it to rest for a few minutes.

  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

  8. Serve the sticky tamari and honey chicken thighs over cooked rice.
