How To Make Chicken Shawarma
From frying, roasting, grilling to slow-cooking, these chicken recipes are sure to hit the spot for our favorite lean meat to bring out the flavors in every meal that chicken lovers can’t resist.

Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs of boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1/4 cup of olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon of ground paprika
- 1 teaspoon of ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground turmeric
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 pita breads
- Toppings of your choice (lettuce, tomatoes, onions, etc.)
- yogurt sauce ingredients:
- 1 cup of Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons of tahini
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- Salt to taste
Instructions

In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, coriander, turmeric, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Add the chicken thighs to the marinade and toss to coat. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best flavor.

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for about 6-8 minutes per side, until cooked through and slightly charred. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes.

While the chicken is resting, prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing together Greek yogurt, tahini, lemon juice, minced garlic, and salt.

Slice the cooked chicken into thin strips.

Warm the pita breads in the oven or on the grill for a few minutes.

To assemble the shawarma, spread a spoonful of the yogurt sauce on the pita bread. Add the sliced chicken and your choice of toppings.

Roll up the pita bread tightly and serve warm.
