Ingredients

  • 1 head of cabbage
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Remove the outer leaves of the cabbage and cut it into wedges.

  2. In a steamer basket, add water and bring it to a boil.

  3. Place the cabbage wedges in the steamer basket and cover it with a lid.

  4. Steam the cabbage for about 10-15 minutes or until it is tender.

  5. In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat and add minced garlic. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  6. Add steamed cabbage wedges to the pan and toss them with salt, black pepper, and lemon juice.

  7. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the flavors are well combined.

  8. Serve the steamed cabbage hot as a side dish.
