Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup green peas
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a pan, heat some oil and add the chopped onions. Sauté until they turn translucent.

  2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.

  3. Add the green chilies, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.

  4. Add the green peas and cook until they are tender.

  5. Add the mashed potatoes and garam masala powder. Mix everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

  6. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool down.

  7. Take a small portion of the mixture and shape it into a roll.

  8. Heat oil for frying in a deep pan and fry the rolls until they turn golden brown.

  9. Remove from the pan and drain excess oil on a paper towel.

  10. Serve the spiced pea & potato rolls hot with ketchup or chutney.
