How To Make Sesame Orange Broccoli

Whip up an easy side dish in the form of this zesty orange broccoli! Crunchy broccoli is coated in a rich orange sauce, and sautéed for a tasteful dish.

Ingredients

  • kosher salt
  • 12ozbroccoli,cut into florets
  • ½tbspcorn starch
  • ¼cuporange juice,fresh
  • ¼tsporange zest
  • 2tbspsoy sauce,reduced sodium
  • ½tspginger,grated
  • 1garlic clove,finely minced
  • ½tspsesame oil
  • 1scallion,chopped
  • ½tspsesame seeds
  • red pepper flakes,to taste, optional

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil.

  2. Add broccoli and boil for 1 minute. Drain and immediately place broccoli in a large bowl of ice water to stop it from cooking.

  3. In a small bowl, add the orange juice, soy sauce, orange zest, and cornstarch, whisking until the cornstarch is dissolved.

  4. Heat a non-stick wok or large deep skillet over high heat. Add sesame oil, scallions, garlic, and ginger and sauté for 30 seconds.

  5. Add the sauce and broccoli and sauté for 1 to 2 minutes until the broccoli is crisp tender. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and red pepper flakes.

  6. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
