How To Make Easy Broccoli Rabe

Easily cooked in a skillet with just 4 ingredients, this Broccoli Rabe recipe makes a deliciously light side of tender broccoli sprinkled with Parmesan.

Preparation: 20 minutes
Cooking: 20 minutes
Total: 40 minutes



  • 1lbbroccoli rabe,trimmed
  • 5tbspextra-virgin olive oil
  • 1garlic clove,minced
  • 1tbspparmesan cheese,grated


  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

  2. Cut an ‘X’ on the bottom of the stems of the broccoli rabe and place in the boiling water.

  3. Cook for about 5 minutes until tender but still firm. Drain.

  4. In a large heavy skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil and saute the garlic for 1 to 2 minutes.

  5. Stir in the broccoli rabe and saute for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the desired doneness is achieved.

  6. Dust with parmesan cheese, then serve and enjoy!
