  • 4 medium-sized sweet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, chopped green onions, or grated cheese


  1. Wash and scrub the sweet potatoes under running water to remove any dirt or debris. Pat them dry with a clean towel.

  2. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).

  3. Pierce each sweet potato a few times with a fork to allow steam to escape while cooking.

  4. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, salt, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well.

  5. Rub the seasoned oil mixture all over the sweet potatoes, ensuring they are evenly coated.

  6. Place the sweet potatoes into the air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd them.

  7. Cook the sweet potatoes in the air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for 25-30 minutes or until they are tender and crispy on the outside.

  8. Once cooked, carefully remove the sweet potatoes from the air fryer using tongs or oven mitts, as they will be hot.

  9. Allow the sweet potatoes to cool for a few minutes before serving.

  10. Serve the baked sweet potatoes with optional toppings such as sour cream, chopped green onions, or grated cheese.
