This apple dumpling recipe is one that my family enjoys and I have used it many times. It looks wonderful and my family never waits until I say it is okay to eat it. They dig in as soon as it comes from the oven.
How To Make Easy Apple Dumplings
Apples rolled up in buttery crescent dough and covered with sugar and cinnamon butter mixture make this Apple Dumplings a must-have in your family gathering.
Ingredients
- 4 apples
- 1 can biscuits
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 stick Oleo , or butter
- 1 tsp cinnamon, optional
Instructions

Cut the cored and peeled apples into 20 slices.

Cook for 1 minute in microwave or oven until tender.

Roll out the biscuits and cut each in half.

Place one slice of apple on each and roll-up.

Arrange in a baking dish.

Heat in a saucepan: the sugar, water, oleo, and cinnamon (if using) then bring to a boil.

Pour over the biscuits and bake in a 350 degree F oven for about 30 minutes.
