Ingredients

  • 2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a blender or food processor, blend the chipotle peppers until smooth.

  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the chipotle puree, ketchup, molasses, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, honey, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, for about 20 minutes or until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.

  4. Remove from heat and let it cool before transferring to a jar or container.

  5. Use immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
