- 1 pound fresh green beans, ends trimmed
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

In a large pot of boiling water, blanch the green beans for 3-4 minutes, then drain and set aside.
