How To Make Soft Gingerbread
A moist and flavorful gingerbread recipe with a soft texture.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup hot water
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a baking dish.

In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, molasses, egg, and vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing well after each addition.

Stir in the hot water until the batter is smooth.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.

Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
