  • 1 can (15 ounces) chickpeas
  • 1/2 cup roasted red peppers
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish


  1. Drain and rinse the chickpeas.

  2. In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, roasted red peppers, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.

  3. Process until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.

  4. Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with fresh parsley.

  5. Serve with pita bread, vegetables, or chips.
