  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. Mix in peanut butter and vanilla extract until well combined.

  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the peanut butter mixture, mixing until just combined.

  6. Fold in chocolate chips.

  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

  8. Bake for 10 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are slightly soft.

  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
