How To Make Raspberry Millefeuilles

A delicious French pastry dessert made with layers of crisp puff pastry, creamy vanilla custard, and fresh raspberries.

Preparation: 30 minutes
Cooking: 20 minutes
Total: 50 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 cup of fresh raspberries
  • 2 cups of vanilla custard
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet to about 1/4 inch thickness.

  3. Cut the pastry into three equal rectangles.

  4. Place the pastry rectangles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  5. Prick the pastry with a fork to prevent it from puffing up.

  6. Bake the pastry in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.

  7. Remove from the oven and let the pastry cool completely.

  8. Once the pastry has cooled, spread a layer of vanilla custard on one pastry rectangle.

  9. Place a layer of fresh raspberries on top of the custard.

  10. Repeat the layers with the remaining pastry rectangles, custard, and raspberries.

  11. Place the assembled millefeuilles in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld together.

  12. Just before serving, dust the millefeuilles with powdered sugar.

  13. Cut into individual portions and serve.
