How To Make Polenta Chips

Crispy and flavorful, these Polenta Chips make the perfect appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup polenta
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, bring water to a boil. Gradually whisk in polenta, salt, garlic powder, and paprika.

  2. Reduce heat to low and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring frequently, until polenta thickens.

  3. Remove polenta from heat and stir in grated parmesan cheese.

  4. Transfer the polenta mixture onto a greased baking sheet and spread it evenly to about 1/2 inch thickness.

  5. Allow the polenta to cool and set for about 15 minutes.

  6. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

  7. Cut the polenta into thick strips or desired shape.

  8. Place the polenta strips on a greased baking sheet and lightly spray with cooking spray.

  9. Bake for 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chips are golden and crispy.

  10. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
