Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt.

  2. Add the cold butter cubes to the flour mixture. Use a pastry blender or your fingers to cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  3. Gradually add the ice water, 1 tablespoon at a time, while gently mixing the dough with a fork. Mix just until the dough comes together and forms a ball.

  4. Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead it a few times to ensure all the ingredients are well incorporated.

  5. Flatten the dough into a disk, wrap it with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before using.
