Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta
  • 2 cans of tuna, drained
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, heat some olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until translucent.

  3. Add the drained tuna to the skillet and break it up with a spatula. Cook for 2-3 minutes.

  4. Pour in the diced tomatoes and tomato paste. Stir well to combine.

  5. Season with dried oregano, red pepper flakes (if desired), salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat it evenly with the sauce.

  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
