How To Make Mirror Glaze Cake
A stunning and glossy cake that will wow your guests with its mirror-like finish.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups of white chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup of heavy cream
- 1/4 cup of water
- 1 tsp of gelatin powder
- Food coloring of your choice
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup of sweetened condensed milk
Instructions
-
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips with the heavy cream in 30-second intervals until smooth. Set aside.
-
In a separate small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over the water and let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
-
In a saucepan, combine the granulated sugar and sweetened condensed milk. Heat over low heat until the sugar has dissolved, stirring constantly.
-
Remove the saucepan from heat and add the bloomed gelatin, stirring until dissolved.
-
Pour the gelatin mixture into the white chocolate mixture and whisk until well combined.
-
Divide the mixture into different bowls and add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl.
-
Place the cake on a wire rack over a baking sheet to catch any excess glaze.
-
Pour the different colored glazes over the cake, allowing them to drip down the sides.
-
Use a spatula to smooth out the glaze and create a marbled effect.
-
Let the glaze set for at least 30 minutes before serving.
