How To Make Mirror Glaze Cake

A stunning and glossy cake that will wow your guests with its mirror-like finish.

Preparation: 30 minutes
Cooking: 1 hour
Total: 1 hour and 30 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups of white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 1 tsp of gelatin powder
  • Food coloring of your choice
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup of sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips with the heavy cream in 30-second intervals until smooth. Set aside.

  2. In a separate small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over the water and let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.

  3. In a saucepan, combine the granulated sugar and sweetened condensed milk. Heat over low heat until the sugar has dissolved, stirring constantly.

  4. Remove the saucepan from heat and add the bloomed gelatin, stirring until dissolved.

  5. Pour the gelatin mixture into the white chocolate mixture and whisk until well combined.

  6. Divide the mixture into different bowls and add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl.

  7. Place the cake on a wire rack over a baking sheet to catch any excess glaze.

  8. Pour the different colored glazes over the cake, allowing them to drip down the sides.

  9. Use a spatula to smooth out the glaze and create a marbled effect.

  10. Let the glaze set for at least 30 minutes before serving.
