How To Make Easy Gingerbread Cookies
These delicious gingerbread cookies are easy to make and perfect for kids to help decorate.

Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ⅔ cup brown sugar
- ⅓ cup molasses
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the molasses, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Divide the dough in half and form each half into a disk. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about ¼ inch thickness.

Cut out gingerbread shapes using cookie cutters and place them onto the prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are set. Remove from the oven and let cool completely before decorating.
