How To Make Easy Apple Pie
A delicious dessert made with fresh apples and a flaky crust.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 pounds of apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- 1 package of refrigerated pie crusts
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
-
In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well until the apples are evenly coated.
-
Roll out one pie crust and place it in a 9-inch pie dish. Press it firmly against the bottom and sides of the dish.
-
Pour the apple mixture into the crust, spreading it out evenly. Dot the top with the small pieces of butter.
-
Roll out the second pie crust and place it on top of the apple filling. Trim any excess dough and crimp the edges to seal the pie.
-
Cut a few slits on the top crust to allow steam to escape during baking.
-
Place the pie on a baking sheet and bake for 45 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the filling is bubbly.
-
Remove from the oven and let it cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
