How To Make Danish Pastries
These Danish pastries are buttery and flaky, perfect for a delicious breakfast or treat.

Ingredients
- 2 sheets of puff pastry
- 1/2 cup of almond paste
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1/4 cup of butter, softened
- 1 egg, beaten
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a floured surface.

Cut the pastry into rectangles, about 4×6 inches in size.

Spread a thin layer of almond paste onto each rectangle.

In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and softened butter until well combined.

Drop spoonfuls of the sugar-butter mixture onto the almond paste.

Fold the pastry rectangles in half, creating pockets with the filling.

Press the edges of the pastry with a fork to seal them.

Brush the tops of the pastries with the beaten egg.

Place the pastries on a baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
