How To Make Crispy Sage & Lemon Roast Chicken
A delicious and flavorful roast chicken with a crispy sage and lemon crust.

Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken (about 4 pounds)
- 6-8 fresh sage leaves
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

Rinse the chicken and pat it dry with paper towels.

Season the chicken with salt and pepper, both inside and outside.

Gently lift the skin from the breasts and thighs, and slide the sage leaves, lemon slices, and minced garlic underneath the skin.

Rub the olive oil all over the chicken, ensuring it is well coated.

Place the chicken on a roasting rack in a roasting pan.

Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for 1 hour 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) when tested with a meat thermometer.

Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before carving.
