Preparation: 30 minutes
Cooking: 15 minutes
Total: 45 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup cabbage, finely chopped
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 24 gyoza wrappers
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground pork, cabbage, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. Place a gyoza wrapper on a clean surface and spoon about 1 tablespoon of the pork mixture onto the center of the wrapper.

  3. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water. Fold the wrapper in half over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.

  4. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

  5. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the gyoza and cook for 2-3 minutes, until the bottoms are golden brown.

  6. Pour water into the skillet and cover immediately. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until the wrappers are translucent and the pork is cooked through.

  7. Serve the gyoza hot with a dipping sauce of your choice.
