Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, cornstarch, garlic, and ginger. Set aside.

  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add beef slices and cook until browned. Remove beef from skillet and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, add bell peppers, onion, and broccoli. Stir-fry for 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender-crisp.

  4. Return beef to the skillet and pour the teriyaki sauce over the beef and vegetables. Stir well to coat everything evenly.

  5. Add water and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce has thickened.

  6. Serve the teriyaki beef stir-fry over steamed rice or noodles. Garnish with sesame seeds.
