How To Make Slow Cooker Sweet and Sour Chicken Thighs

- 8 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon ginger powder
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- Cooked rice, for serving
- Sesame seeds and sliced green onions, for garnish
Instructions

In a slow cooker, combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, ginger powder, and crushed red pepper flakes. Mix well.

Add chicken thighs, bell pepper, and onion to the slow cooker. Stir until the chicken is well coated with the sauce.

Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.

In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water until smooth. Stir the mixture into the slow cooker and cook on high for an additional 30 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Serve the Sweet and Sour Chicken Thighs over cooked rice and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
