How To Make Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

This is the ultimate banana bread, packed with chocolate chip bits and creamy peanut butter, all in one moist and flavorful bite!

  • 2bananas,very ripe, peeled
  • cupunsalted butter,melted
  • ½cupmilk,whole 2%, or a nut milk
  • 1large egg
  • 1tspvanilla extract
  • 1cupsugar
  • ½cupcreamy peanut butter
  • 1tspbaking soda
  • pinchkosher salt
  • ½tspcinnamon,optional
  • cupsall purpose flour
  • ¾cupchocolate chips


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray or grease a 4×8-inch loaf pan very well.

  2. Mash the bananas in a mixing bowl using a fork. Whisk in the melted butter, milk, egg, and vanilla. Mix in the sugar.

  3. In another mixing bowl, using the hand mixer or a whisk, beat the peanut butter until smooth. Beat this into the banana mixture.

  4. Scrape the bowl down and beat in the baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and flour. Fold in the flour until completely combined, followed by the chocolate chips.

  5. Spread the batter in the prepared pan.

  6. Bake on the center rack of the oven for 55 to 60 minutes, or until the bread is deeply golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  7. Remove the bread from the oven and place on a rack to cool completely before turning out.

  8. Serve and enjoy!

Recipe Notes

Store the leftover bread wrapped well in plastic at room temperature for 3 days. Leftovers are great toasted lightly in a pan with butter.
