Butter Buns Recipe

This is a quick yeast-bread recipe that produces light, tasty rolls, and especially handy when you don’t have time to make a conventional yeast roll for dinner.

How To Make Butter Buns

This butter buns recipe is made with the basic bread recipe.

  • 1⅔ cups flour
  • 1 pkg yeast
  • ¼ cup Crisco shortening (butter flavor)
  • ⅔ cup water (warm )
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  1. In a bowl, dissolve yeast in water.

  2. Add sugar, salt, shortening, egg, and 1 cup flour. Mix well.

  3. Add remaining flour and mix until smooth.

  4. Fill greased muffin tins half full.

  5. Allow batter to rise in a warm place until doubled.

  6. Bake at 375 degrees F for 20 minutes.
