How To Make Bread Machine Rye Bread

A classic rye bread recipe that’s easy to make in a bread machine.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp molasses
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups rye flour
  • 1 1/2 cups bread flour
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast

Instructions

  1. Add the water, butter, molasses, salt, rye flour, bread flour, and yeast to the bread machine in the order listed.

  2. Set the machine to the “Basic” or “White” bread cycle and let it run.

  3. When the bread is finished, remove it from the machine and let it cool before slicing.
