Orange Bread Recipe

This orange bread is very moist and has a great color. This is an old recipe from my grandma – she ground her oranges. You can add Craisins if you wish.


A wonderful recipe for enriched dough with orange juice! This incredibly moist and tasty orange bread is perfect for those starting to look into bread making.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup sour milk
  • 1 cup orange, peeled and blended
  • 3 cups flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Instructions

  1. Mix together: sugar, oil, the egg, sour milk and orange in a bowl.
  2. Next, add the flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Pour into a greased loaf pan and bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees F.
