Ingredients

  • 1 large round bread loaf
  • 2 cups shredded melting cheese (such as mozzarella or cheddar)
  • 1/4 cup apricot jam
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Using a sharp knife, cut the top off the bread loaf and hollow it out, leaving about a 1-inch thick shell.

  3. In a bowl, mix together the shredded cheese, apricot jam, and poppy seeds.

  4. Fill the hollowed out bread with the cheese mixture, pressing it down gently.

  5. Brush the melted butter all over the bread loaf.

  6. Place the bread loaf on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
