  • 1tbspcornmeal
  • 3cupsflour
  • 1tbspbaking powder
  • 1tspkosher salt
  • 1tbspsugar
  • 12ozbeer,room temperature
  • 2tbspunsalted butter,melted

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees F.

  2. Butter a 9×5-inch loaf pan and sprinkle with cornmeal.

  3. Whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and beer in a large bowl.

  4. Place the batter in the pan and let sit for 20 minutes.

  5. Bake for 35 minutes, then brush the butter on top of the bread and bake an additional 5 minutes.
