Cinnamon Pull Apart Bread Recipe

How To Make Cinnamon Pull Apart Bread

Make soft and delicious pull apart bread right in your kitchen. This recipe has the warmth of cinnamon and a sweet sugar glaze.

Preparation: 35 minutes

Total: 1 hour



For Dough:

  • 4cupsall purpose flour
  • ¼cupgranulated sugar
  • 1tbsprapid rise yeast
  • tspsalt
  • ¾cupcool water
  • cupmilk
  • 4tbspunsalted butter,diced

For Filling:

  • ¼cupbutter,melted
  • ½cupgranulated sugar
  • 3tspground cinnamon

For Glaze:

  • ½cupconfectioners sugar
  • 1-2tbspmilk



    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees F.

    2. In a mixer bowl, whisk sugar, yeast, salt & 4 cups of flour.

    3. In a separate medium bowl, combine water, milk & butter.

    4. Heat in microwave about 1 minute or until it reaches approx 115 degrees F.

    5. Pour into dry mixture & use dough hook to knead 3 to 4 minutes or until smooth & elastic (add more flour if necessary).

    6. Cover tightly with plastic & let rest about 5 minutes.

    7. Spray loaf pan with cooking spray- set aside.

    8. Drop rested dough on lightly floured surface & press & shape into a large rectangle.

    9. Melt butter for filling & brush on the dough.

    10. In a small bowl combine cinnamon & sugar & sprinkle evenly over buttered dough.

    11. Cut dough lengthwise into 4 large strips & stack each strip on top of each other.

    12. Cut into squares & loosely place on end in loaf pan.

    13. Sprinkle any remaining cinnamon & sugar over the top.

    14. Place in the 180 degree F oven- turn oven off & allow to rise for 20 minutes (don’t open door).

    15. Remove after 20 minutes & preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

    16. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until deep golden brown.

    17. Remove & allow to cool in pan while making the glaze.


    1. Combine milk & confectioners sugar in small bowl & whisk to combine.

    2. Drizzle over baked bread & enjoy!
