How To Make Cinnamon Chip Bread

Munch on this soft cinnamon chip bread, made with milk and honey mixed with potato flakes and cinnamon chips, for a uniquely flavorful snack!

  • 4cupsall purpose flour
  • cupsmilk
  • cupbutter
  • ¼cuphoney
  • 1egg
  • ¼cupinstant potato flakes
  • 1tbspinstant yeast
  • 1tbsppowdered milk
  • tspsalt
  • tspvanilla extract
  • tspground cinnamon
  • ½tspbaking powder
  • 1cupcinnamon chips,such as Hershey’s®


  1. Place the flour, milk, butter, honey, egg, potato flakes, yeast, milk, salt, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and baking powder in a bread machine in the order listed by the manufacturer. Run the Dough cycle.

  2. Remove the dough from the machine after about 1 hour 45 minutes when the cycle is done.

  3. Refrigerate the dough for about 1 hour until cool.

  4. Transfer the dough to a bowl of a stand mixer with a paddle attachment. Mix in the cinnamon chips using the dough hook.

  5. Place the dough in a round pie plate, then let rise for 1 to 2 hours until about doubled in volume.

  6. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Cover the dough loosely with a tent of aluminum foil.

  7. Bake in the oven for 40 to 50 minutes until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center reads 175 degrees F.

  8. Serve warm and enjoy!
