How To Make Chocolate Banana Bread

Chocolate Banana Bread is an easy quick bread recipe with loads of bananas to make it super moist. Triple the fun with chocolate frosting on top!

Serves:

Ingredients

  • cupsflour
  • ½cupcocoa powder
  • 1tspbaking soda
  • ½tspbaking powder
  • ½cupbutter
  • ¼cupbrown sugar
  • ½cupwhite sugar
  • 2eggs
  • 1⅓cupsbananas,mashed
  • ½cupchocolate chips

For Topping:

  • ¼cuphalf & half
  • 2tbspbrown sugar,packed
  • 1tspbutter
  • ½tspvanilla
  • 6tbspchocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

  2. Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and baking powder in a large bowl. Set aside.

  3. Cream butter and sugars together until fluffy. Stir in eggs and bananas. Add banana mixture and chocolate chips to flour mixture. Stir just until combined.

  4. Bake for about 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  5. Heat half & half and brown sugar over medium heat until the brown sugar has dissolved and tiny bubbles start to form on the edges. Stir in vanilla and butter until melted and turn off the heat. Add chocolate chips and do not stir; let sit for about 2 to 3 minutes.

  6. Whisk chocolate chips until smooth. Cool completely and drizzle over bread.
