How To Make Cheesy Garlic Breadsticks
Cheesy garlic breadsticks are the best companions with pasta dishes! Skip the store-bought ones for these savory and garlicky breadsticks are easy to make!
- 1tbspactive dry yeast
- ½tspsugar,plus an additional 1 tbsp
- ¼cupwarm water,(110 degrees F)
- 1cuphot water
- ⅛cupcheddar cheese,shredded
- ⅛cupfresh parmesan cheese,shredded
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Combine the yeast, ½ teaspoon sugar, and ¼ cup of warm water in a small bowl. Set aside for 5 minutes until foamy.
In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, hot water, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and salt. Add in the yeast mixture and gently stir.
Add the remaining flour and stir until completely combined.
Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and roll into the breadsticks. Place on parchment paper.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F while letting the dough rise for about 15 minutes.
In a small bowl, combine the butter and minced garlic. Microwave for 20 seconds or until butter is melted.
Brush the butter mixture over the breadsticks. Top with cheeses.
Bake for 5 to 18 minutes or until golden. Serve warm.
