How To Make Tomato Mozzarella Salad

This side dish of light yet scrumptious tomato mozzarella salad recipe drizzled generously with some homemade dressing can be paired with any meal.

For Salad:

  • 8cupsromaine lettuce,washed, torn
  • 1tomato,large, diced
  • 2cupscherry tomatoes,or grape tomatoes, halved
  • ¼red onion,thinly sliced
  • 8ozmozzarella cheese,fresh, diced

For Dressing:

  • ½cupolive oil
  • ¼cupbalsamic vinegar
  • 1tspsugar
  • 1tspdijon mustard
  • ½tspgarlic powder
  • salt and pepper


  1. Combine the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, sugar, mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a jar.

  2. Shake well, then set aside.

  3. Place the lettuce, tomato, cherry tomatoes, onion, and mozzarella cheese in a large salad bowl.

  4. Shake the dressing again if separated, then pour it onto the salad. Toss until well combined.

  5. Drizzle with additional balsamic, if desired.

  6. Serve, and enjoy!
