How To Make Suddenly Salad

Toss a quick and filling lunch in this suddenly salad that combines shell pasta, carrots, mayo, and frozen peas for a loaded and creamy side dish.

Total: 2 hours 20 minutes



  • 2cupsshell pasta,uncooked
  • 5baby carrots,or 1 large regular carrot, peeled, shredded
  • 1cupfrozen peas,thawed
  • ¾cupmayonnaise,more if desired
  • ½ozhidden valley ranch dressing mix,(1 oz packet)
  • ¼cupbacon bits
  • ½tsponion powder


  1. In large bowl, mix mayo, dressing mix, bacon bits, shredded carrots and onion powder. Chill while making the rest.

  2. Cook pasta according to package directions using the shortest allotted time.

  3. Drain and cool.

  4. Fold in pasta well. Fold in peas last, carefully.

  5. Chill for several hours.

  6. Garnish top with more bacon bits.

  7. Serve chilled or room temperature.
