The combination of avocado, melon, lime juice, red onion, mayonnaise, and sea salt makes a surprisingly tasty salad when mixed in one flavorful bowl.

  • 1 fresh honeydew melon, sliced or cubed
  • 1 fresh cantaloupe melon, sliced or cubed
  • 3 avocados, sliced or cubed
  • 1 medium red onion, or purple onion , sliced thinly
  • romaine, or any other leafy lettuce
  • Garlic-Chili-Lime Mayonnaise, recipe to follow
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 lime juice , and zest , depending on size and to your liking
  • 1 Tbsp garlic, roasted , minced
  • ½ tsp creamy horseradish
  • ½ tsp chili paste
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ¼ tsp freshly cracked pepper


  1. Line a large platter or bowl with lettuce leaves.

  2. Top with fruit, avocado, and onion.

  3. Drizzle with mayonnaise according to your liking.

  4. Combine all remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly.
