How To Make Heirloom Tomato Salad

Make a quick and easy tomato salad with ripe heirloom tomatoes, red onions, kalamata olives, and fresh basil. Tossed in olive oil, it’s perfect for lunch!

Ingredients

  • 4mediumtomatoes,ripe, sliced
  • ¼cupred onion,chopped
  • 2tbspextra virgin olive oil
  • 8kalamata olives
  • fresh basil,sliced
  • kosher salt and fresh pepper

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine onions, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for about 5 to 10 minutes.

  2. To Assemble: Slice the tomatoes and arrange on a plate. Pour olive oil and onions on top, then season with additional salt and pepper. Garnish with fresh basil.

  3. Divide equally into 4 plates. Serve and enjoy!
