A delicious way to celebrate a season's harvest! This hearty and flavorful harvest salad recipe makes use of season's produce and thrown in a bunch more wonderful ingredients to create a bright and exciting array of ingredients in a salad.

  • ½ cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 bunch spinach, rinsed and torn into bite-size pieces
  • ½ cup dried cranberries
  • ½ cup blue cheese, crumbled
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 avocado, peeled, pitted and diced
  • ½ red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp red raspberry jam, with seeds
  • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • cup walnut oil , or olive oil
  • freshly ground black pepper , to taste
  • salt , to taste


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

  2. Arrange walnuts in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  3. Toast in oven for 5 minutes, or until nuts begin to brown.
  4. In a large bowl, toss together the spinach, walnuts, cranberries, blue cheese, tomatoes, avocado, and red onion.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together jam, vinegar, walnut oil, pepper, and salt.
  6. Pour over the salad just before serving, and toss to coat.
