Enjoy your barbecues with this fresh and delicious crunchy pea salad! It’s tossed with bacon, celery, cashews, and more, all tossed in a tangy sour cream.

  • 8bacon slices
  • 10ozfrozen green peas,(1 package), thawed, drained
  • ½cupcelery,chopped
  • ½cupgreen onions,chopped
  • cupsour cream
  • 1cupcashews,chopped
  • salt and pepper,to taste


  1. Place the bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until evenly browned.

  2. Drain the bacon, crumble them, and set aside.

  3. In a medium bowl, combine the peas, celery, scallions, and sour cream. Toss gently to mix.

  4. Stir in the cashews and bacon into the salad. Season with salt and pepper.

  5. Serve, and enjoy!
