This classic wedge salad is loaded with crunchy lettuce, fresh tomatoes, crispy bacon; all coated in a creamy and salty dressing, for a tastier side!

Ingredients

For Dressing:

  • ½cupmayonnaise
  • cupbuttermilk
  • ¼cupblue cheese,crumbled
  • ¼cupsour cream
  • ¼cupred wine vinegar
  • tbspwhite sugar
  • 1tbspextra-virgin olive oil

For Salad:

  • 1iceberg lettuce head,cut into 8 wedges
  • 2tomatoes,diced
  • 1cupbacon,cooked, crumbled
  • ½cupblue cheese,crumbled
  • ¼cupfresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Combine the mayonnaise, buttermilk, blue cheese, sour cream, red wine vinegar, sugar, and olive oil in a bowl, then blend using a hand mixer. Taste, and add salt and pepper as needed. Set aside to chill.

  2. Build the salad by placing 1 lettuce wedge on each of 8 plates. Drizzle equal amounts of the dressing over each wedge of lettuce.

  3. Scatter the tomatoes, bacon, and blue cheese over each salad, and garnish with fresh parsley.

  4. Serve, and enjoy!
