How To Make Chana daal chaat with tamarind & herbs

Ingredients
- 1 cup chana daal (split Bengal gram)
- 3 cups water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp chaat masala
- 1/2 cup tamarind chutney
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh mint leaves
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 green chili, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup sev (crispy fried noodles)
Instructions

Rinse the chana daal under running water, then soak it in water for 2-3 hours.

Drain the soaked daal and add it to a pressure cooker with 3 cups water and salt. Cook for 3-4 whistles or until the daal is cooked through and soft.

Once the pressure is released, open the cooker and let the daal cool down.

In a serving bowl, add the cooked chana daal, cumin powder, chaat masala, tamarind chutney, chopped cilantro, mint leaves, onion, and green chili. Mix well.

Garnish with sev and serve the chana daal chaat immediately.
