How to Make Canned Salmon Salad

Whip up a healthy dish with this canned salmon salad. This tasty salmon recipe makes the perfect sandwich filling using mayo and mustard.

  • 5 oz salmon, (2 cans) drained
  • ¼ cup mayo
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard
  • ½ tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ tbsp lemon, zested
  • 1 celery stick , chopped small
  • 2 tbsp capers, drained and chopped
  • 2 tbsp red onion, chopped small
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • salt and pepper, to taste


  1. Drain the salmon and add it to a bowl. Mash it with a fork.

  2. Prep the other ingredients and add them to the bowl, then mix it all together.

  3. Taste and season with salt and pepper.

  4. Serve on bread and enjoy.
