How To Make Broccoli Raisin Salad

This broccoli raisin salad is a great accompaniment to barbecues and picnics. Broccoli florets are tossed with sunflower seeds, bacon, and raisins.

Preparation: 10 minutes
Cooking: 5 minutes
Refrigerate Time: 1 hour
Total: 1 hour 15 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • ¾cupmayonnaise
  • ¼cupwhite sugar
  • 2tbspwhite vinegar
  • ¼tspkosher salt
  • tspblack pepper
  • 6cupsbroccoli,cut into small florets
  • ½redonion,finely chopped
  • 1cupraisins
  • ½lbbacon,cooked and crumbled
  • ¼cupsunflower seeds

Instructions

  1. In a very large bowl, mix the mayonnaise, sugar, white vinegar, Kosher salt, and black pepper. Add in the broccoli, red onion and raisins into the bowl and mix.

  2. Top with the bacon and the sunflower seeds. Mix broccoli, bacon, red onion, and raisins in a bowl. Leave in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, preferably 2 hours.
