Ingredients

  • 2 lbs pork shoulder
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 4 hamburger buns

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

  2. Rub the spice mixture evenly all over the pork shoulder.

  3. Place the pork shoulder in a slow cooker and pour in the barbecue sauce and apple cider vinegar.

  4. Cook on low heat for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily pulls apart with a fork.

  5. Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.

  6. Serve the pulled pork on hamburger buns, topped with extra barbecue sauce if desired.
