Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Season the pork chops with garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.

  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.

  4. Place the seared pork chops in a baking dish and spread applesauce over each chop.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

  6. Remove from the oven and let the pork chops rest for a few minutes before serving.
