How To Make Sticky Hoisin Sausages

Pork is one of the most commonly cooked meats in the world and we’ve decided to put our spin into these minimal yet tasty pork recipes that will have you looking forward to every bite.

Preparation: 10 minutes
Cooking: 20 minutes
Total: 30 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 8 sausages
  • 4 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Green onions, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill or preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. In a small bowl, mix together the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, and minced garlic.

  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sausages and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

  4. Pour the hoisin sauce mixture over the sausages and toss to coat. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the sausages are fully coated and the sauce has thickened slightly.

  5. If using a grill, transfer the sausages to the grill and cook for another 5-7 minutes, basting with the remaining sauce. If using an oven, transfer the sausages to a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until cooked through.

  6. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
